Based in Concord, NC. Creekwater is focused on training top notch dogs for the field and life at home.

Our goal is to have these dogs reach there full potential allowing them to be their best out in the field, at home, and in public all while keeping a balance of hunting drive, and obedience on and off leash. At Flox Creek we are dedicated to building the most versatile and well round dog possible. We want our dogs to hunt dove in September, ducks though January, and flush quail in the spring.

We offer training primary for sporting breeds with a focus on retrieving. However we love all dogs and offer basic obedience and fetching classes for any and all dogs willing to work.

LEVELS OF TRAINING

Beginner

In our Beginner level of training the dogs will start to learn the basics of hunting and the world around them.

            •E-Collar conditioning

            •Intro to loud noises

            •Load up on command

            •No bird command

            •Retrieves with wing

            •Steady with Decoys and Calls

            • long leash return to heel

•retrieves without pen but on long lead

Intermediate

Intermediate dogs are ready for the field, but are far from polished. This is typically there first hunting season, this period of time acts as a trying out phase and allows us to see what needs to be cleaned up and changed next off season. During this phase dogs work on

•Delivery to hand while in heel

            •Multi Gun exposure

            •Watching and fallowing hand/whistle

               Signaling for direction

            •Pile work

            •Double & triple retrieves

•Blind retrieves with a focus on using

            Sent

Advanced

Advanced level dogs are typically around the age of 3-4 years old and have proven themselves in the field over a few seasons of hunting. These dogs are expected to know

            •Whistle & Hand commands

•Fully comfortable to blinds and stands

            •Double and triple blind retrieve

While advanced dogs might seem perfect, a dogs training should never end, and there skill should be kept sharp year round to insure that when September rolls back round there just as ready as you are.
